Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 18, submitted legal documents on May 27 to take her mother Angelina Jolie’s last name rather than her father Brad Pitt’s.

She wants to be called simply as “Shiloh Jolie” at this time, which is her first mature move.

Shiloh turned in the paperwork on Memorial Day, which was also her birthday, according to a recent TMZ piece. Even if the name change proposal hasn’t been officially authorized yet, it should happen soon.

Given that her sisters Zahara and Vivienne have also reportedly omitted “Pitt” a few times, Shiloh’s decision is consistent with family custom.

According to People in May 2024, she is listed as “Vivienne Jolie” on the playbill for the musical “The Outsiders,” noticeably lacking “Pitt.” Vivienne’s new name is a significant step in her evolving public persona.

Vivienne works as a production assistant for her mother, Angelina, who is the show’s producer. She often travels with her mother on the musical’s promotional tour.

In November 2023, Zahara joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. at Spelman College. In a video that Essence shared, Zahara’s new sorority sisters can be seen cheering her on as she enters the stage.

She proudly said, “My name is Zahara Marley Jolie,” maybe leaving out her father’s last name, and then she danced and flipped her hair.

Their name change coincides with ongoing legal issues between Angelina and Brad.

The couple’s involvement in disputes over their shared ownership of a French winery and allegations of abuse are causing the family to suffer immensely on both a financial and emotional level.

In 2019, the court declared that they were no longer legally single after Angelina filed for divorce in 2016. One of the main issues in their post-divorce court cases is still their 2021 joint custody agreement.

Previous court documents that speculatively suggest that Angelina Jolie may have contributed to the tight relationship between Brad and Jolie have further compounded the couple’s legal drama.

Angelina has been the target of recent accusations against Tony Webb, the owner of SRS Global, a security company that provided her with personal protection between 2000 and 2020. Webb shared his observations based on his 20 years of collaboration with Jolie.

Ross Foster, one of the two people, “specified that he intended to testify regardless of the NDA if he received a court subpoena,” according to Webb.He continued by revealing disturbing details about the potential testimony.

In addition to telling me this, Mr. Foster indicated he would testify if questioned regarding remarks he saw Ms. Jolie make to the kids urging them to stay away from Mr. Pitt during custody visits.

This revelation shocked the social media world, and many people expressed their surprise at Angelina. Others voiced concerns about the potential impact on the Jolie-Pitt children.

One commenter said, “It’s just shocking that she cannot see the harm this is doing to their kids.” Another commenter echoed this, saying, “It’s probably why Shiloh is moving in with her father now. She has come to the realization that her mother has been attempting to distance them from Brad for years and is vengeful.
