People reacted in different ways after seeing how the model responded to her dad and the president’s online clash. While some called it inappropriate, others said they understood and related to her reaction.

Vivian Jenna Wilson, Elon Musk’s eldest child, shared a post on Instagram that seemed to hint at his dispute with President Donald Trump.

The video included the caption that read, “I love being proven right.” In it, Wilson said, “I don’t want to comment,” then laughed and hid her face.

Wilson’s subtle reaction to the high-profile clash drew plenty of attention online. One user questioned her intent, “What a weird way to hate on your dad.”

However, others showed strong support. “I love her! She didn’t need to add anything else. Everything was said with that laugh,” said one person. Another asked“Is she getting more gorgeous every time she posts?” One user simply shared“She is actually so beautiful ❤️.”

More reactions soon followed with one fan writing,“Some things speak louder than words. That laugh 😂😂.” Another gushed“Her hair so gorgeous [sic].” Someone else observed“She’s pretty. I see Elon in her.”

The online chatter around Wilson’s post came as Musk and Trump publicly exchanged sharp words — a dispute that played out over the last few days on X and Truth Social.

On June 3, Musk posted on X, “I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”

Trump responded on Truth Social on June 5, “I don’t mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago. This is one of the Greatest Bills ever presented to Congress.

The President described the bill as a record cut in expenses totaling $1.6 trillion, calling it the largest tax reduction ever introduced. He warned that failing to pass the bill would result in a 68 percent tax increase and other severe consequences.

Emphasizing that he was not the one who created the issue, he said his role was to fix it. According to him, the legislation would set the country on a path to greatness, ending with the statement:

“MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

During a press conference at the White House, the politician expressed disappointment with Elon Musk, stating that he would have won Pennsylvania regardless of the Tesla CEO’s involvement. He claimed that Musk was fully familiar with the bill but only objected after learning that the electric vehicle mandate would be reduced.

According to Trump, when Musk departed, he spoke highly of him and had not yet made negative comments — though he suggested such remarks might come soon. He emphasized that he had supported the businessman significantly.

The Republican also mentioned Musk’s work with DOGE and speculated that the billionaire missed being at the White House. He suggested that leaving the Oval Office can cause some individuals to experience a form of “TDS,” saying that while some accept it, others react with hostility.

Underneath the clip of the press conference, Musk replied with a pointed comment, “Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate.”

Earlier this year, Wilson criticized her father during an appearance on political commentator Hasan Piker’s “HasanAbi” podcast, referring to him as a narcissist.

She described him as an “insecure little buffoon,” saying he deserved to experience imposter syndrome and often showed a strong need to be liked. Wilson also shared that she had little interaction with her father while growing up and remembers very little from her childhood.

In a separate interview, Wilson said her political views were shaped by witnessing extreme wealth in Los Angeles alongside the city’s homelessness crisis:

She questioned the fairness of extreme wealth, saying it was hard not to wonder how such inequality could exist. In her view, there should be no world where some people own multiple private planes while others sleep on the street.

When asked if Musk’s politics had changed, she replied, “I’m going to not answer that. I’m sorry. But [his views are] not because of me.” The model rejected claims that her gender identity influenced his political leanings:

“It’s such a convenient narrative… and that’s just not the case… Him going further on the right… is not because of me.”

Wilson added that online personas don’t reflect reality and confirmed, “I haven’t talked to him since 2020. That was almost half a decade ago at this point. Thank God.”

Wilson’s estrangement from her father goes back several years, and her public statements have only deepened the divide. That distance became even more evident in 2022, when she legally severed ties with Musk.

According to court records obtained by People, a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge granted the then-18-year-old’s request to change both her name and gender.

The court approved her new name, Vivian Jenna Wilson — adopting her mother Justine Wilson’s maiden name — and officially recognized her gender as female. The judge also ordered the issuance of a new birth certificate to reflect these changes.
