​Norma García is a distinguished news anchor at Telemundo 39 (KXTX) in Dallas-Fort Worth, where she leads the evening and nightly newscasts. She also hosts “Enfoque 39,” a program that delves into political and social issues affecting the Hispanic community. With over two decades in journalism, García has reported on significant events such as the 2004 Athens Olympics, Hurricane Katrina, and the 2012 Mexican presidential elections. Notably, she was the first U.S.-based journalist to cover the 2017 Mexico earthquake live on both Telemundo and NBC platforms. ​

Her exceptional reporting has earned her more than 30 Lone Star Emmy Awards, and in 2014, she received the Gracie Award for Best Local Anchor in the U.S. Beyond her anchoring duties, García made history as the first Spanish-language At-Large Officer on the board of the Hispanic Communicators DFW, advocating for mentorship and professional development among Spanish-speaking journalists. ​
